Lately I’ve been listening to folklore a lot (partly because August tbh) and the song Betty makes me cry? Like, sob + burning in throat cry? It’s not even a sad song -- just something about the youthful innocence of the lyrics and the cute harmonica just *obliterates* me emotionally

It's a very sweet song. I think she captured the earnestness of teenage love exactly. Have you listened to the song "Changing My Major" from Fun Home, the musical? That is my FAVORITE expression of young, hopeful love and stirs my heart every time.

Omg "changing my major to Joan" YES!!!!!!! My mom and I saw Fun Home when it was on broadway and we both were in some state of tears the whole
