Hi Tara Im not sure what the difference is between following, and subscribing, but I quite like your quirky writing. I on the other hand, have written nothing, and just ended up with a substack by accident.
Hi there! Subscribing I believe entails you leaving your email in the pop-up on the author’s page to be sent their new posts automatically. Thank you so much for reading and enjoying my work!! I hope you subscribe and enjoy tomorrow’s new post.
Hi, Noha! Thank you so much for reading - I'm moved and humbled that you were affected by my words. I'm still very very new to writing, so it means a LOT.
And you're very welcome. Feel free to send any that you'd like me to highlight - happy to include next week. <3 You made my night.
Tara, I cannot believe you're new to writing. Your mastery of imagery is really strong! If this is you at the begining of your writing journey you are going to be unstoppable!
In terms of resources to highlight, may I recommend Journalist Nour Erakat and the instagram account for both Jewish Voices for Peace and Independent Jewish Voices. Both of these are FILLED with excellent other links and materials.
Oh gosh. Thank you so much! I’m going to look into these resources as well, thank you for sharing. As a Jew, I want to make sure I’m honoring my heritage in sharing the work of Jewish activists. ❤️ Stay tuned for more writing - your support has meant so much!!
My thematically estranged son crossed the continent recently to inform me that he was skeptical when I had described myself as "the last Indian." This after a half century of standing upright in plastic canoes and saluting with appropriate irony as Shawanaga Ojibway dudes, not all of them strangers, attempted to swamp me with the wakes from their Yamaha 40s. I'm bushy, I guess, so I'm in no position to have an opinion on the cosmopolitan Tara Giancaspro. But what the heck. I have a dim memory of cities, culture, Jews, and stuff like that. Giancaspro writes so lyrically it would be tempting to dismiss her as poetic and release her into the upper echelons. Yet she is tethered to the surface here with a profusion of real-world interests. The proportions are biblical, and it is a kindness to us that she organizes the myriad connections in the form of a collage.
Thanks for the follow… Whoa I peeled off that musical composition around 3:30. I forgot about Provotti who when fading into his metropolitan mettzzi Tenor routine must have the volume all the way up. I wasn’t expecting the head banger heavy metal... Course neither did the neighborhood but they have been gracious enough with Phil Collins along with my ole Mic rolling with the Stones, Sinatra and Blue Note rattling their windows... thank you again crazy lady for the folllow. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends making some kind of music... I listened to Elvis sing lead for the Dooby Brothers with an insanely smooth rhythm as lead. I had to get a good dose of Sinatra to bring a sense of the familiar back from the outer limited of the Twilight Zone we have all found ourselves sleep walking in of late.
Thank you for reading it! 🤗 Guardian angels. Most members were good people just spending a lot of money on $5,000 classes etc. All money going to Keith. Bankrupting many of them. There was a small inner circle he created which women recruited to be his sex slaves. A mind control maniac. In some ways my ex husband’s health issues saved him from becoming a more active participant.
this was such a wild and fascinating piece and I loved the collage as a structuring concern! Thank you for the mention too 💖
Oh baby I LOVE your blog - it is required reading. Just texted someone about it yesterday too. The mention is the most sincere of stannery!!
And I, walking diagonally through the internet, befuddled as per yuzh, note in passing the phrase "collage as a structuring concern" and am pleased.
This is so beautiful, I relate to so much of what you wrote. ❤️
I hate that you do! I mean that with love!
Impressive
I am also bad at wearing sunscreen 😞🌞🤧 @taragiancaspro

This is incredibly written! My God, I felt as though I’d had the wind knocked out of me, in a good way.
And thank you for sharing resources on Palestine ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This got my neurons firing, that's for sure.
WOW. What a heady compliment. I am so so appreciative and hope you stick around for today’s issue! Thank you.

Incredible piece, thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! I’m reading your NXIVM piece now - one of the cults I read about most often. I’m so glad you were protected from their influence.
