I am roaring with laughter over here and flummoxed with not being able to finish at the same time. Cotton Eyed Joe and Wind Beneath my Wings are my faves on this epic list! Bravo!

I think I fall into Alina's "funny, silly erotic" camp but now I'm also wondering if I'm absolutely insufferable to fuck because I can't think of a single song I'd turn off.

lol yes! I literally thought long and hard about it (teehee) and I couldn’t think of a single song that would ruin the mood for me. I would very likely enjoy the hilarity of any off kilter song choice or allow my soul to leave my body and temporarily exist on another plane while my physical form keeps on fuckin.

This post is perfect but the inclusion of “Dare You to Move” by Switchfoot made me scream with laughter. So there’s that.

You'll Be in My Heart cover by Boys Like Girls on this list really cut me to the core. Also Judy Collins's Send in the Clowns is objectively the saddest least-strippable version! cannot wait for pt 2

I agree these are all bad songs to f$ck to, except for the Leonard Cohen one. For me, it would be "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks, and "Run Joey Run" by David Geddes

I was woken up early one morning by the girl I was with at the time, and was deep in the throes of passion when my radio alarm clock went off across the room (I always put my alarm across the room so I have to get up out of bed to switch it off) and this suddenly started blaring out:

She was straddling me and wasn't stopping for anyone or anything at that point, so I had to endure the entire song...

I LOVE that you were one of the "I Am Hercules!" People. I remember that. Also I love this post.

This is an excellent cautionary roundup. K and I have suffered interruption several times from Spotify inexplicably putting S&G Bridge Over Troubled Water on. This creeps us out every time because *it's not even on my list of liked songs*. It's like they're in the room with us, trying to be ambient - we can only assume that cos they know our age, they think this is the sort of song that seniors fuck to. Wrong. Very, very, wrong. If I could delete that song from Spotify I would.

Agreeing with Jason Berk that the carnal pleasures of Led Zeppelin background music, especially live, is not to be underestimated. Personally I find You Shook Me and For Your Love to be the best choices, especially because the latter is the absolute hottest rhythm to [redacted] to
